9:30am
SUN SALUTATIONS
DOMAIN A
In Sanskrit Suraya means sun and Namaskar means salutation, a greeting that honours and respects each of our own divinity. Ashtanga, vinyasa and other flow styles are built around suraya namaskar and serve to warm us up for more advanced practices. It helps to establish breathing and space so you can easily drop into your practice. Each movement is linked with the breath so to master the salutation we must also master the breathing.
As we become attuned to the movements we can flow mindfully through the postures with ease and grace.

The Alchemies are gifts from mother earth, which bathe you in the healing properties of the purest quartz crystal and also the healing properties of the gems, earth elements and precious metals they are infused with. I weave a tapestry of crystalline frequencies for you to experience.

10:00am
FIND JOY IN YOUR OWN YOGA JOURNEY
DOMAIN B
In the Bhagavad Gita Krishna explains that the best way to act is to let go of the fruits of our labour or the desired outcome, giving up our attachment that a specific something has to happen. Yet often we enter our yoga classes with onerous expectations of ourselves and these desires can lead to unhappiness and even injury.
During the session we will use our yoga practice to seek the joy in the moment rather than some unrealistic accomplished future. We will use our pranayama (breathing) to guide us into a relaxed and energised state, settling our busy minds; before we practice a range of asanas and flows. We will gently layer the levels and options so you can find a practice that you feel you are working at your own pace and for it’s own sake. We will then finish with a peaceful and reflective Shavasana.
The session is suitable for all levels.

10:15am
MOBILIZING SOMATIC FLOW
DOMAIN C
During this session I will invite you to explore mobilising the pelvis and sacroiliac joints before stabilising, we will do this through gentle yet effective somatic movement explorations. As you journey through various flows you may become aware of stiffness and holding patterns, and it’s from this awareness you will begin to regain muscular control and reclaim a sense of moving with ease. To enhance your experience please bring with you a yoga strap, a yoga brick or block and a curious open mind.

YOGA FOR THE VAGUS NERVE
DOMAIN B
Georgia teaches yoga informed by her wealth of experience as a psychotherapist. Here she will bring you a workshop for the ultimate in soothing calm. The vagus nerve is the key dimmer switch of the body. Yoga targeted at this major neurological system will dial down the “flight or fight” effects of a stressed nervous system to deliver the body into a restful and healing modality.

YOGA FOR BALANCE, SIMPLICITY AND CLARITY
STAGE 2 B
![](https://greatnorthyoga.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Nadis-colour.jpeg)
11:15am
SURFING THE NADIS
DOMAIN C
Thousands of years ago the yogis knew all about nadis. 72,000 channels that carry prana through our human body. This subtle body was only discovered by “proper scientists” around 60 year ago, proving that the nadis exist and they are called fascia. Our yoga practice can heighten our awareness and sensitivity to the flow of prana. During this session we will focus on how to channel, increase and invigorate our wellbeing by surfing our way through the nadis.

11:30am
MOON HATHA TWISTS
DOMAIN A
When in doubt, twist. If you’re feeling down, stressed or anxious – twists will pick you up and relax you. If you’re feeling overly stimulated or excitable, twists will calm you down. So, no matter what energy you bring to your mat, a twisting class will always be beneficial!
Moon hatha twist practice focuses on twisting the body physically, while will also focus on extending the exhale, creating luminosity in the body and mind and steadiness in the brain.
Emily says, “I have done this particular practice numerous times and I want to share it with you. It is an extremely healing and calming practice.”

11:45am
LETTING GO
STAGE 2 A
Think of how much of our day we spend in stress. It might be stressful physical positions, stressful emotional situations or could be just the stress of running around, multi-tasking all day.
The mind wanders back to everything that has happened or will happen and the body tightens up as a response to continuous stress. This is why it is important to fine-tune to a key element of yoga practice. Letting go of the day’s experiences emotionally as well as softening and easing into physical poses.
The practice is suitable for both beginners and intermediate level yoga practitioners. The session is gentle with the occasional moderate elements of the asana practice.

12:00PM
CONSCIENCE CONNECTED BREATHWORK
DOMAIN B
An opportunity to immerse yourself in the healing practice of circular breath technique, where inhalations seamlessly flow into exhalations without pause.
This breath opens a gateway to explore, feel and connect to deeper layers of your body, emotions and consciousness. It allows you to release and let go to make room for new beginnings which may lead to profound healing experiences.
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that these practices are powerful and can bring emotions to the surface. Whilst we do all we can to create a safe and caring environment for this journey, please check it’s right for you at this time and also commit to looking after yourself during the workshop and the days following. There is never any need to push further than feels right to you.
NOTE: An alternative heart breathing technique will be offered if you suffer heart or blood pressure problems, have had recent abdominal surgery or a delicate pregnancy, have a history of psychosis or severe mental illness or have epilepsy, glaucoma or detached retina.

12:00pm
KUNDALINI - THE YOGA OF AWARENESS: A PRACTICE FOR UNLOCKING THE CHAKRAS
STAGE 2 B
A spiritual practice weaving together chanting mantras, meditative techniques and repetitive yoga postures to awaken the self in the form of the Kundalini Shakti – the coiled serpent of energy resting at the base of the spine. As this energy rises, it activates and purifies each chakra along its ascending path, leading to profound self-awareness and transcending the limitations of the ego.

Our workshop begins with a vinyasa flow to target all the body parts we need to warm and mobilise for Bakasana-Crow and Koundinyasana-Flying splits postures. We will break down these postures to explore them in a little details before adding them seamlessly into our vinyasa flow. Afterwards we will unwind with a relaxing savasana.

12:30pm
PRESENCE
DOMAIN A
Despite the name “human beings” we are more likely to be “human doings”. Often finding it hard to be present, to practise stillness and to connect deeply with our true selves. This practice will focus on working gently, slowly and subtly in order to sense and feel all that there is – bringing us more into the present moment. By creating slow movement patterns whilst working with our own unique anatomy; this practice is about how we might create a balance of “effortless” effort – moving in and out of, or even when “holding” physical poses and the creation of a natural state of comfort. Breathing and moving in this way, can help to calm the nervous system and also help us to move in both a steady and easeful way.
